A boy was taken by ambulance to Ennis Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after a report of a gunshot.
First responders didn’t immediately have answers as to whether anyone was shot, but a boy taken away in an ambulance had blood visibly running down one of his arms and was crying.

Police spoke with witnesses who appeared to be in their early teens at the corner of South Clay and West Madison Street, where the reported shooting occurred.
Dispatchers communicated via radio shortly after the incident, saying they were looking for a light blue four-door car driven by a Hispanic male.
