3:30 p.m., and police were still trying to figure out whether a gun was actually fired.
Ennis police spokesperson Lt. Mike Hopson said Wednesday afternoon that investigators don’t have all the details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting. The boy had a wound on his right arm and was taken by ambulance on a stretcher from the corner of West Madison and South Clay Street.
Police spoke with a group of boys who appeared to be witnesses shortly after the shooting.
