An altercation at a local restaurant ended with one man in jail and a police officer injured early Saturday morning.
Det. Sgt. Jason York of the Ennis Police Department said Officer Justyn Wilder responded to a report of intoxicated person at 1:05 a.m. Saturday at the Waffle House located in the 100 block of Chamber of Commerce Drive. Upon arrival, Wilder found a man who allegedly put his hand and spit into other customers’ food.
