The Venus man accused in the death of former Waxahachie Police Department officer Josh Williams last summer is set for trial in August.
Just under 10 weeks after the July 28, 2012 crash, an Ellis County grand jury indicted Dylyn Richards, 24, for intoxication manslaughter causing the death of a peace officer. The charge, a first-degree felony, followed reports that Richards reportedly crashed his car into the officer’s vehicle on U.S. 77 in Waxahachie.
