A two-year old boy was killed Tuesday after his 53-year-old uncle ran over him in a
pickup truck.
Lt. Mike Hopson with the Ennis Police Department called the incident a “tragic
accident” and said that he doesn’t anticipate any charges will be filed.
According to police, the uncle was backing up in a Nissan Frontier at a house in the
1100 block of Milam Street and didn’t see the child. EMS first responders attempted
CPR on the child, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he was
announced dead.
