Surfacing in the sad story of the seizure of 72 animals from a home in Waxahachie last week is the serendipitous tale of 12 tails who rediscovered their wag.
Judge Jackie Miller, Jr., a Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, made several decisions in a Wednesday hearing following the arrest of 69-year old Gayle Justice.
The first forced her to turn over all of the animals; 68 dogs, three cats and a Macaw – long-tailed parrot, to the SPCA of Texas. Secondly, she must cover all medical and custody expenses for the seized pets.
